Quick Overview

God bless each one of you, my sisters and brothers. God has been very good to us, in spite of the problems and crises that many are experiencing throughout our world. The foundation of holiness stands sure, and God yet knows those who are His. This quarter I want to talk about some of the things that were done in many holiness churches and have done for many years. Sometimes we do things and never really know or understand why we do them. Some questions we can answer through God's Word and others through the thoughts of the early Saints. We must understand that some things were put in place and became a tradition because of someone's opinion. Everyone has opinions, but it doesn't mean that it's right or wrong, it's just an opinion. Sometimes it's a good opinion, but not workable for the good of all at any given time. So, as we study, let's remember that God's Word does not have private interpretations. For the Word says, “Let every man be a liar, but God's Word is the truth” (Romans 3:4a). Growing up in a holiness church for over seventy years, I saw and heard many things, some good, and some bad. But I always remember that everything I've learned, it was from someone, books, classes, watching or hearing, or preaching or teaching; it came from someone. We will be talking about fasting, our method of praising God, and various other things many of us do that show the unlimited power of our God. Open your hearts and share, and receive the blessings that God has for you.
